Akbank Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Sustainability

Ebru Guvenir joined Akbank as Head of Investor Relations and Sustainability in July ’17. In 2018, Extel awarded her team the “Best Corporate for Investor Relations” and awarded her the “Best Investor Relations Professional”. Before becoming an IR professional, she worked at various domestic and international brokerage firms/investment banks in senior roles responsible for institutional sales. Before joining Akbank, her most recent institutional sales position was at Teb Yatirim (BNP Paribas Partnership) between 2012 -2017, where she was EVP for Institutional Sales. At Teb Yatirim, she was awarded second place in 2015 and first place in 2016 by Extel for ‘Turkey Country Research’. In 2020, she was awarded Best IRO and Best IR Program with her team by Institutional Investor. After graduating from Robert College, she earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the Istanbul Technical University and received a master’s degree with honors from Koc University’s Executive MBA program.
